April 17, 2011

I want to thank everyone who made stars for the Just One Star project. I mailed 32 stars off to them. The stars were made by members of the Savannah Quilt Guild and Loose Threads of Guyton. For those who asked about the pattern for the quilt that the stars will be made into, you can find it here:  http://www.beverlys.com/downloadable/download/sample/sample_id/306/

ORGANIZING TOTE BASKET
This looks like a great tote! Would make wonderful gifts.

STRAWBERRY SHOPPING BAG
SEW cute!!! Make several to keep in your car.

BIAS STEM TUTORIAL
This is a great tutorial on making bias stems for appliquéd vines, flowers, and more.

DO YOU BISCORNU?
I had no idea what a biscornu was… in fact, I never heard (or read) the word before I found this site. After seeing Carol Diver’s work at Savannah Quilt Guild last week, I think this would be a good beginner needlework project.

FREE SEWING CADDY AND THREAD CATCHER PATTERNS
I had to find a FREE pattern for one of these after the last workshop where the gal sitting next to me had one. This site has links to several different caddy/catchers. Make one for yourself and another for a sewing buddy.

MORE ON-LINE MUSEUMS
A continuation of the sites I posted last week. These have some interesting photos and info about sewing related stuff.
