April 24, 2011

Happy Easter, Everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your day with family and friends.

FASCINATING – EMBROIDERY ON EGGS!
I agree with the gal  and pass on this one. Still, it is impressive.

TV TRAY IRONING COVER
This is a great idea. I’m going to make one for two reasons. One, this will fit in my sewing room where a regular ironing board doesn’t; and, two, this is a great idea for retreats, where we don’t always need the large board, and there is usually a line to use it.

FREE PATTERN – OFFSET SQUARES
A very pretty quilt with nature-inspired batiks.

PARADE OF STRINGS
This is so cool! Looking at all that can be done with string blocks just gets my quilty juices flowing.

QUILTED MAD TEA PARTY SET
If you have little girls in your family, this is a perfect gift for them! I love it and will be looking for just the right fabric.

WHAT’S FOR DINNER
Baked Pineapple Dressing
I’ve been making this for years. Goes great with ham.

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 can (1 lb. 4 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
5 – 7 slices white bread, cubed

Cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs, one at a time, by hand, and add to creamed mixture. Stir in pineapple and bread cubes. Add pineapple juice. Bake uncovered in 350 oven for 20 – 25 minutes.

Have a great week!
